{"id":583,"date":"2012-06-25T18:12:00","date_gmt":"2012-06-25T17:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.royalhigh.org.uk\/wordpress\/jim-rowan\/"},"modified":"2012-06-25T18:12:00","modified_gmt":"2012-06-25T17:12:00","slug":"jim-rowan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.royalhigh.org.uk\/wordpress\/jim-rowan\/","title":{"rendered":"Jim Rowan"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span style=\"color: blue;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\">On 20th June 2012 <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\">Jim Rowan&#8217;s daughter Claire wrote to  say that Jim had passed away after a short illness.\u00a0 Jim and his late wife  May were stalwarts of the RHS Club in London for many years and Jim attended his  63rd annual dinner at the RAF Club in March.\u00a0 Jim was in the Merchant Navy  during the war, followed by a career in the Metropolitan\u00a0police force.\u00a0  Jim&#8217;s familiar figure will be sadly missed at RHS London Club events and his  annual dinner record is unlikely to be broken.\u00a0\u00a0The  <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\">funeral will be  held on Monday 2nd July at 12.30pm at Trinity URC, Freelands Road, Bromley, Kent  BR1 3AQ.\u00a0 There will be a reception held at the church following the  service and all are very welcome to attend.
