Ladies and Gentlemen,
Now that we’ve reached the end of August, autumn is just around the corner. And with it comes the highlight of the social season: The Annual Royal High School Club in London Drinks Party.
We’ve decided to bring it forward this year and so the event will take place on Monday October 9th. Once again we’ve booked The Fleming Collection at 13, Berkeley Street and the fun will get underway promptly at 6.30 pm. For those making their first visit to the Fleming Collection, the nearest underground station is Green Park on the Victoria/Piccadilly/Jubilee lines. All you have to do is come out of the station and walk up Piccadilly towards Piccadiily Circus. Berkeley Street is first left and the gallery is situated about a hundred yards down on the right.
As ever, we’ve put together a packed programme of attractions. They include:
– An illustrated lecture on the current exhibition, Rascals and Ruins- not a reference to the RHSCL committee but a display of the work of Edinburgh-born painter James Pryde and his Romantic Vision
– A fascinating collection of RHSCL archival material, assembled by archivist Jim Randell
– An eloquent speech of welcome from our President, Simon Card
– A much praised selection of the finest wines
– An appetising selection of sandwiches, canapes and nibbles
– A chance to catch up with old friends and to make some new ones in a stylish and informal setting
Tickets are £20 per head. To make sure of your presence at what is always a night to remember, please make your cheques payable to The Royal High School Club in London and send them to
